In search of warmer weather thoughts in this Minnesota snowy wonderland, I thought I’d post some favorites from my beautiful friend Valerie’s wedding last 4th of July in Santa Clara, California.
Valerie and Alan married in the mission church on the campus of Santa Clara University where Valerie works. A laid-back afternoon BBQ celebration followed on the lawn of the church. Valerie was as beautiful as a bride as she is every day (the girl doesn’t need makeup!), she just glows.
One of my favorite details was Valerie & Alan’s invitations which encouraged guests in lieu of gifts to “go to a baseball game, smell a rose, read a poem, hike, laugh, skip work, etc”. Fourth of July sparklers with the same messages were enjoyed by guests young and old.
I feel warmer already just posting these photos!
