Carly and Robert brought their hip NYC vibe to Minnesota to wed at The Chambers Hotel. (The Minnesota connection: Carly grew up in Australia, but her parents live in Rochester now).
Carly and Robert both effortlessly exude chic style. Carly and her bridesmaids all wore custom designed dresses from the designer Avion Feminin. Carly’s Lanvin heels were to die for! And she wore amazing earrings and a cuff bracelet from the jewelry designer Erickson Beamon. Robert looked so sharp in his Brooks Brothers suit. And I just loved his lime green socks!
We had so much fun with big red balloons and moustaches on sticks during our photo time with the wedding party at Gold Medal Park. And, then we released the balloons off of the Nicollet Island Iron Bridge.
Carly and Robert’s custom letterpress invitations from Mr. Boddington’s Studio featured a map highlighting Minneapolis landmarks. The calligraphy on the invitation envelopes and place/menu cards by Queen Quills was exquisite.
After a gourmet dinner by D’Amico in the art gallery of Chambers Hotel, guests made their way upstairs to the rooftop lounge for dancing. The very talented DJ Steve spun creative mix that kept the dance floor packed.
The phrase “Love Louder Than Thunder” that was in their program has really stuck with me, that is so powerful.
Thank you Carly and Robert for having me document your beautiful wedding. May your love always feel louder than thunder.
Thank you to The Knot (my former employer) for being such a big supporter of my work. I just love both of these features in recent issues.
Allie and Jesse are just the sweetest couple you could ever meet. Their wedding day was an amazing celebration of their love.
On an unseasonably warm November Saturday, Allie and Jesse were married at Assumption Catholic Church in St. Paul. We travelled by trolley to the Stone Arch Bridge for some photos with their wedding party before returning to St. Paul to The Union Depot for a night of celebration that included a mariachi band during cocktails (in honor of Jesse’s Mexican heritage) a surprise of the wedding party surrounding the dance floor during their first dance with huge oversized balloons. Tables were named after specific times in Allie and Jesse’s lives and relationship. I’m pretty sure the flower girl Samantha danced with every guest in attendance!
An amazing team of vendors came together to create this beautiful celebration day. Allie’s sister Stephanie is the wildly talented coordination expert at Park Place Planning, needless to say the day flowed just perfectly. Just Bloomed created gorgeous florals including red peonies all the way from Chile! Guests ate delicious sweet treats from Cocoa & Fig. Decor by Linen Effects and lighting by Instant Request perfectly complimented the grand architecture of The Union Depot. Chic red-and-white stripes were included in all elements of the design including invitations and other paper items from Paperista. Everyone looked so sharp: Allie was simply stunning in her gown from Posh and always amazing makeup by Brett Dorrian Artistry, the bridesmaids were adorable in their gray dresses and cherry red shoes from Bella Bridesmaids, and Jesse and his guys were quite dapper too in tuxes from Savvi.
Congrats Allie and Jesse! May your love continue to grow, time after time.
