Leigh + David : Modern Mazel Tov

There were so many beautiful moments on Leigh and David’s wedding at Calhoun Beach Club. When the girls were getting ready, there was a framed photo of Leigh’s grandma on the table. Her grandma had passed, but it was so sweet to see that she was there in spirit on this special day. After Leigh and David met for the first time, we took a ride in a family friend’s classic cherry red Cadillac (the family friend who owns the car is the sweet dad of my blizzard bride from last year!). Their gorgeous ketubah was signed in a touching ceremony where Leigh and David were surrounded by family and close friends. And man, does this group know how to horah! There was so much great energy on that dance floor.

Thanks to the talented team of vendors who made this day so beautiful. . . Amy Zaroff Events & Design for expert coordination, Wisteria Design for always amazing floral creations, and R Factor for playing such great music that kept the dance floor lively and packed all night long. It is always a special day when I get to shoot alongside the cinema genius Matt Brue and his team from Capture Studios.

Mazel tov, Leigh and David! Thank you for having me document all the love and the joy on your wedding day.

Roee Dori - Gorgeous event! Beautiful images!

Rachel + Scott : Autumn Adoration

Rachel and Scott were married on a gorgeous fall day at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina. Rachel looked simply stunning in her Priscilla of Boston gown. After the ceremony, we made a quick stop at the beautiful Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. I just love that golden field with late fall tall dried grasses! Guests enjoyed a lovely evening of celebration at Hazeltine National Golf Club.

Thanks for having me document your beautiful wedding day, Rachel and Scott. I wish you so much happiness together in life.

Rustic Summer Elegance Inspiration Shoot

I had so much fun teaming up with the lovely Amanda of Lime Canary Vintage Rentals to create this summer inspiration shoot. We wanted to show a wedding style that was both rustic and elegant. The shoot really showcased the beautiful vintage furniture that Lime Canary has to rent for your next event.

Thanks to the wonderful team of contributing vendors who helped make this shoot so stunning. . .

  • We were so lucky to be able to shoot at the amazing Round Barn Farm in Red Wing. Such an amazing location!
  • The super talented Jackie of Munster Rose Floral Design provided beautiful and lush floral creations for the shoot.
  • Our bride wore a gorgeous dress from Little White Dress For Less, an online store with stylish and affordable custom-made wedding gowns made to fit your measurements.
  • The deep plum bridesmaid dress was one of so many great bridesmaids dresses that can be found at Flutter Boutique.

Enjoy a little summer rustic charm to keep you warm on a chilly winter night.

Sara + John : Madly in Modern Love

I was very excited to photograph Sara and John’s wedding because Sara and I have a special small world connection. . .our grandfathers founded a law firm together in Des Moines, Iowa in the 1950s. My grandfather was an avid photographer in his retirement and he encouraged me to pickup a camera when I was a teenager. He’s a big part of why I am a photographer today. My grandfather passed in 2000 and I really miss him. I am so touched by the small world connections to my grandfather in this wedding and how it reminds me of how I started out as a photographer.

Sara and John live in Chicago but returned to the Twin Cities where Sara grew up for their wedding celebration. The ceremony and reception were at the always chic Graves 601 Hotel. Sara’s mom Laura lovingly handmade many of the wedding style details from the invitations to the escort cards to cute wine bottle decorations. There were personal touches everywhere.

After Sara and John kissed under the huppah, guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and a dance floor that was always full! Thanks to a talented team of vendors for making this wedding so awesome: Casablanca Orchestra for their amazing rhythms, Marsha Golob for coordination, Linen Effects and Richfield Flowers for decor, Minnesota Bridal Makeup Artistry for their beautiful work.

Congrats Sara and John. I wish you so much happiness together in life!

Tina + Dan : Modern Mehendi

Wow, what a wedding! So colorful and vibrant, just like Tina and Dan. Dan’s adorable son Aiden was a big part of the day, what a cutie!

Tina and Dan’s celebration took place at the Minneapolis Hilton. Their ceremony blended both Hindu and Filipino traditions, to honor both of their heritages. The ballroom was lit in warm amber light for the ceremony, and then during the cocktail hour it was transformed into a purple peacock inspired room. The colors were so vibrant! Guests dined on Indian and stir fry and filled the dance floor all night long.

Thanks to the incredible team of vendors who made this wedding so amazing. . . Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions for her expert planning and coordination of every detail, Richfield Flowers and Apres Rentals for the phenomenal decor, Instant Request for the fantastic DJ and lighting, Buttercream for a stunning and tasty cake, and Minnesota Bridal Makeup Artistry for their beautiful hair and makeup work for each of Tina’s stunning looks.

Tina & Dan, you are such a wonderful couple. Thank you for having me document your amazing celebration of your love.
